Hi, welcome to my blog!
My name is Sweet and you have stumbled upon the blog of an introvert. This is not how I would have introduced myself in the past. As time went by, my journey to self-awareness has taught me to fully embrace my personality and all that comes with it. People who’ve known me since childhood wouldn’t believe that I’m an introvert. They’d think I’m lying if I even mention that my social awkwardness sometimes gets the better of me. This is why I prefer to write, at least I can pause and think before I type anything. I could hide behind my words and you wouldn’t know the number of times I edited this sentence in the last two minutes 🙂
In case we’re meeting for the first time, here are a few things about me:
- I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines but I now live in California. This is home and I love it here.
- My dad gave me this nickname. He said, “You’re the product of two sweethearts so we call you Sweet.”
- I’m married to my favorite person and we’ve been together for more than 2 decades.
- I’m a Christian who often makes mistakes but continues to lean on the saving grace of Jesus.
- I’m an introvert, the classic INFJ type who’s comfortable with solitude, feels deeply and has a strong need for order and clarity.
- When I’m not writing, I work at home for a tech company supporting busy executives.
- I love music, books, travel and working out. (What’s up, Peloton fam?)
- My love languages are quality time, peaceful silence and personal space. (Also: long car rides, milk tea and shopping!)
Okay – enough about me. Let’s talk about this blog.
Sweet July Vibe is a personal project that’s been put on hold for a very long time. Writing eventually drew me back here, although it didn’t come easily for me. I had to overcome hesitation and self-doubt to build this blog from scratch. Now, it’s a little digital space that reflects my inner world. My hope is that it inspires you to live closer to your calling and truer to your purpose.
This is a cozy, introvert-friendly corner of the internet—simple, soulful, and a little dreamy—where thoughts, musings, and everyday moments can settle in and breathe. The name obviously comes from my childhood nickname, my birth month, and the kind of energy I love to surround myself with.
Whether you’re here to connect or simply wander through my reflections, I hope my words bring some inspiration and value. I cherish a life that’s simple, reflective and grounded. If that sounds like your kind of thing, then you’re my people.
